The Best of NYFW14

And another Fashion Week has come to an end. How sad. I bet it was amazing as usual, or better - it would only be the best one if I was in fact, there! But let's not cry about it, one day - when I'm a famous blogger (or maybe when I'm a famous marketeer which is much more likely) - I'll be in the front row nodding at it like a proper connaisseur. Yep, dream on.

And because I wasn't there just yet, here is a collection of my NYFW favs, taken from Harper's Bazaar, Marie Claire and the Instagram pages of our beloved bloggers.

Photography delights: More posts to come!

Calling all photography experts! I’m finally getting a proper camera and will stop posting sh*tty outfit pictures taken with my iPhone (well, maybe sometimes) – Yoohoo! My demands were:

- Easy to use - there's no worse than buying something to then realise you need a degree in engineering to be able to use it.
- Professional photos - You know, models are really pretty but it does help a fair bit when the pictures are taken with a good camera that blurs the background and make them look super awesome.
- Acceptable videos - If it's an investment, may as well be 2 in 1 and serve as an amateur filming camera for great holiday videos!
- SUPER easy to transfer - Yep, it does have WiFi so I can upload my photos onto my laptop without any weird cables (that are ridiculously easy to forget at home!) and it also has a mega app that somehow transfers them to your iPhone too (still to be assessed, believe it when I see it...).
- Good size - I do want to look cool with a Canon but let's face it, there is no way I was going to carry a massive brick in my bag every day to snap my outfits all the time. We do like big handbags but they don't necessarily have to be heavy enough to break your arm.

I think I'm being quite a good customer here. At least I know what I want...! Now the bad news is: this baby is outrageously cheaper in New York which means I'm going to have to wait 3 whole months to have it (!!!). In the meantime, can some experts that happen up pop by tell me if it's, in fact, a good choice? Pretty please?

You tell me!

Hi guys! How's that Tuesday going? Mine was quite eventful at work but nothing that a good dinner doesn't solve (if the Beef ever shows up!). So I come to ask for your help this time. I started the pink blog because I wanted to show my clothes and tell my stories to the world. But, more importantly, I want to inspire someone out there and find people that can identify themselves with me & the blog! People that like to come here, have a good laugh, get some ideas for tomorrow's outfit they can't be bothered to choose, have a look at the new trends, get some tips on good restaurants to show off on a date or check some wallet-liking purchases that cheer anyone up, anytime.

For that, I've set up my About Me (or Me, Me, Me as I like to call it in memory of my old flatmates) page & and email address that you can get in touch with. I know, I know most of you find comments quite awkward (even the ones who do have a blog!) or just can't really be arsed to type something in. So now you have a way to contact me with anything you want to ask, any suggestions or things you'd like me to post about, any questions about the outfits & clothes I wear and you want to wear too! Pleaseeee do get in touch and let me know what you think - it will help keep me going!

Follow me on Instagram, Twitter, Bloglovin, Tumblr & Pinterest - I have them all!

What I'm wrapped up in #34 @ Edinburgh Day 2

My fav outfit of the whole trip. Well maybe because it was pretty much all new and what's new is obviously better. Until you wear it twice and then it's just as boring as any other piece in the wardrobe but anyyyyyway. I've been meaning to get a denim jacket since I was like 12. I know, it's ridiculous as there are denim jackets at every corner (sometimes literally!) but I could never find the right one and ended up giving up. Until I went Zara in Edinburgh (no, it doesn't matter that there are like 163 Zara shops in London, I will go there just because it's in a different place). It was completely unplanned but I just picked it up and that was the one - by only £7.99. I know, absurd. HA. No need to mention my amazing skirt that I'm head over heels with (again, from a shop that you can find in London every 10 metres) - and no, it's not a picnic blanket, it's just awesome.

Edinburgh, the Beefs' holiday

I'm baaack. To London and to the Blog. And to the tube strikes & craziness of work and day to day life. Buah. Edinburgh was a-mazing, so amazing I couldn't hold off this post for long! Definitely need to start booking more long weekends as they actually feel like a proper holiday - says the person who has just booked flights for each month until May (NEW YORK, haaaa!). This time I can say I've been on an actual English holiday. And dare I say, these guys know their sh*it.

[Note to self: when trying to type sh*t in a work email, maybe don't write the actual word with a star in the middle - that is obviously not the point.]

Holidays are still holidays if you don't wake up at 7am; if you don't walk around every minute of the day until your feet bleed; if you don't go to every museum in town; if you don't carry a TimeOut guide with you. I know, I know, it's debatable. Some of you will say you have to get as much of it as you can and for that you need to give up sleeping, eat while walking and visit every little chapel. However, I do enjoy walking around in my own time, stop to eat, stop to drink, do some shopping and get a little drunk. That's just how I roll. And apparently this English family rolls with me.

Arrived on Thursday evening and Big Head Joe picked us up from the airport. What a sweetie. Oh, that's another thing. I do enjoy going on a city break where a friend is there to give you tips and take you to cool places. Going out with the locals is my thing - turism by itself, not so much.

Some cocktails for the road, check! Next morning came early-ish, with the most amazing English breakfast cooked by my fav Host. Was clearly too hungry to take a snap, soz. The day went by with a visit to Edinburgh's Castle and a stop at the pub with some very political discussions.

Immediately fell in love with the city, the views & the cute pubs everywhere.

(I know it's Cafe Rouge and we have it here but God it's cute!)

(For a moment I thought I was in a Harry Potter film, I admit it)

And the weekend went by just like that. A lot of fun, good laughs (mainly at my stupidity at at Joe's big head), amazing food and drunken drinks would sum it up. Perf.

No, his face is not usually this yellow...

More outfit posts to come...

Missing you already, you crazy little people. You rock. That's why you're on the blog. X

What I'm wrapped up in #33 @ Edinburgh Day 1

Evening lovers. Sorry I've been away but work was a tiny (huge) bit mental until Thursday and then it was packing and flying to Edinburgh. Everything is amazing here but beyond normal levels of coldness. I mean it, it's like -357 degrees and not even my fur is keeping me safe. So it's time to start posting the Edinburgh outfits my friends, never cold enough for that. Let me know what you think of Day 1 x
