What I'm wrapped up in #26

All black outfit for a dinner out! Tried everything on (from my new Zara wardrobe after Christmas) but it just wasn't right. No one can take the black looks from a woman, sometimes only the black can save us. Also worth saying the dinner was at Bodeans, which makes the black even more suitable - I'd rather die than have that yummy BBQ sauce all over my white silky shirts!

In love with... #5: the new sunglasses

It's been like a whole year since I started looking for new sunglasses. It's ridiculous I know. But for some reason I just couldn't find the right ones, they all seemed so normal and the same as the ones everyone already has and probably bought last season. Unacceptable! So, in a moment of madness, while my Mum was buying some proper reading glasses that make her look mega fashionable, I picked up these beauties - do we always treat sunglasses as a plural noun?! Weird - and fell in love. The brand is new to me, never heard of Thierry Lasry before but the sales dude said it was his favourite - of course he would...! I'm very happy with my purchase though. Now a bit of sun to bring them out of the box wouldn't be bad...

Hello Massive Monday, Goodbye Portuguese Legend

Happy first Monday of the year! Do you live in London? Maybe not so happy for you then, if you had to face the tube this morning. It's impressive! The year starts, the holidays end, the rain continues - you can expect madness in the tube. People under trains (and I mean it!), lines closing, stations overcrowded, all sorts of things. It's like the tube has never run before and it's all a new world. But it's not. Same old, my friends! And to think I was reading in the morning this is the day where more life changes happen - people quitting jobs, ditching boyfriends, getting divorces. It's called Massive Monday. It has a name so it is for real! How had I never heard of this before?! Does it not happen in Portugal? Maybe not. Or maybe I didn't read as much news when I was over there.

On a slightly unrelated note, I would like to say my public goodbye to a great Portuguese Man that left us yesterday. Eusébio was an amazing football player that took Portugal and Benfica to international news, being known all over the world. He also proved to be an exemplar Man, with good principles and an immense love for his country. May he rest in peace and may this world never forget him. Today, the Kings' Day, his funeral took place and you could see an entire nation together - despite their club or team - to honour this Man we all knew. These things give me the chills and that's for a good reason. It's because it does matter. <3

What I'm wrapped up in #25

First outfit post of the year... Taken last year though. I've stopped posting over the Christmas break (was sleeping in 10 min sections instead!) but that doesn't mean I stopped posing. Oh no! This was my outfit to a girls Xmas dinner, where you want to look good and semi chic but you're not going out out so you can't go all sexy-crazy. Found this amazing turtle pattern skirt lost in my sister's wardrobe and got way too excited! It was one of those 5£ purchases on sale that didn't get much use so obvs came back with me on the plane.

So into this all-buttons-up-shirt trend. The Beef says it's too Shoreditch. But he also wears party shirts and golden ties so what does he know?!

Where's mine @ the hat season

Hey yo. Been wanting to write this post since the winter started. It does seem like a long time ago. We've come to the conclusion we're in a coat season, even though I'm still saying the huge cardigans and warm knitwear are taking over from the heavy coats. Although, what we really can't deny is the hat madness. That's right, if you don't have one, run to the sales and go get it. I was hoping to get one for Christmas but since I didn't, here's an excuse to dive in the sales a bit more - yes, I've already brought the whole Zara home with me. Have a look at my favourite styles (from my fav bloggers!), with awesome outfits backing them up -

Hello 2014

Happy 1st day of the year! How's that hangover going? Got through the family lunch or sat on the sofa all day? I'm leaning towards the second one since I'm back in London and therefore there's no crazy family around. I have demanded an early New Year's dinner though, which will put me cooking in no time. Just to say hello to everyone and to this lovely year ahead of us! Hope you've made your 12 wishes last night eating your 12 raisins - I've done it with smarties of course, yukky raisins! My public wish is to turn the pink blog into a better place where you can laugh, make fun of, identify with, relax a bit, get inspired and hopefully follow some of my craziness throughout the year. Here are my 2013 looks with one of my fav songs behind it. Enjoy <3

See ya later 2013

I wouldn't be a real blogger if I didn't do a goodbye 2013 post. I don't usually do a huge recap of the year that is gone. But I guess having a blog kind of changes that a bit. What's the point of registering everything you do if you don't go back to see how was it?! So let's see 2013's key milestones...

❤️ New house - moved in with my twin friend to the lovely cream palace
❤️ Andorra - skiing trip that almost killed us all
❤️ Beef meets the wider family - yes dangerous, I know. He did good though, came for Easter's big lunch and a couple of days to wander around Lisbon
❤️ Got an iPhone - yes, it changed my life
❤️ Park House Rugby Party survival - not only survived but also took my sister and friend that were visiting. Really putting myself out there I'd say...
❤️ 1 year putting up with my crazy Beef
❤️ Greece. No comments needed
❤️ New job - sadly left my first company and joined an even crazier one
❤️ Started a blog - well I guess you know that but this is obvs my favourite one. It feels like ages ago but this pink little space only started in September
❤️ Dad's 60th
❤️ Berlin
❤️ Saw Prince William for the first time - really far away and could barely distinguish his royal wave but it counts surely
❤️ Got a Michael Kors watch - HA.

Have a look at the visual version of the above and HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone! x
